Inside Rotterdam was created in the summer of 2014 after owner Ariane returned from a roundtrip in South-East Asia. She realized that Rotterdam desperately needed local tours like you have in Asia: interactive, personal and focused on experiencing. Rotterdam is a great city, all locals know that, but to outsiders, the city often remains unfathomable. Rotterdam needs translation, a friendly guide to take you to the signature places, share the distinctive stories and let you “feel” the city. This is the true way to experience the raw beauty of this urban metropole.
Isn’t “time” our most valuable asset? Valuable and (unfortunately) with an expiration date.Therefore we think it is important to make time together special. We do this by:
– Making real contact. Who are you, what moves you and with what can we make your time special?
– Keep the tour interactive. No endless monologues, but a dialogue, an exploration, a journey of discovery where there is room for spontaneity.
– To work together with small Rotterdam (food) entrepreneurs where a warm welcome is self-evident and who create something special with their product, service and management.

We work with a team of inspired and knowledgeable guides. All of them are Rotterdam residents with a passion for the city. Our guides are experienced in working with a wide variety of groups, from Highschool groups to VIPs. This allows them to respond directly to the needs and dynamics of the group. They are knowledgeable about, and in many cases educated in, a range of subjects, from architecture and art to Dutch history, culture and public administration.
